Gene & Maxine Speich
Pastors Gene and Maxine Speich have been standard bearers for the cause of Christ for decades in Central Ohio, on foreign shores, and around The United States. Described as "a true pastor, with a shepherd's heart" at Evangel Temple Assembly of God. In over thirty years of ministry challenges have included three major building projects and the opening of a 15 acre campus in Gahanna. Pastors around Ohio, and the world received early training at Evangel Temple. Pastor Speich also served for many years as the Presbyter of the Central Ohio Section, and currently serves on committees directing Ohio Missions, and the Conference Retreat Center. A Christ-centered Pastor, Gene Speich keeps Christ the center of his family. Many members of his family of four children and 10 grandchildren are either active in church, or serve in full-time ministry. Written by Mark Beall.

Anita Bates
Pastor Larry and Anita were raised in Hoisington, Kansas. Larry received a college football scholarship and graduated with a Master's Degree in Administration and Physical Education. Upon graduation he taught, coached, and served as a high school principal for 8 years. During this time they both felt the call on their lives for full time ministry in the area of Christian Education and Administration. Larry completed the Berean Correspondence Course and was ordained.
Pastor and Anita served successfully in the ministry in Kansas and Ohio where Larry served as Christian Education Director and Church Administrator and Anita ministered as Children's Church Director and Children's Graded Choir Director. She also served as choir accompanist, Hand Bell Choir Director, and WM Coordinator. Churches included Topeka First in Topeka, Kansas; Park Crest Assembly in Springfield, Missouri and Trinity Assembly in Columbus, Ohio. In Kansas, Larry served on the District Youth Council and on the District Christian Education Committee in Ohio. While in Topeka he Chaired the Topeka Christian Education Association and coordinated an annual conference for Christian Education instructors.
Pastor Bates currently serves as ECA Superintendent, Business Administrator and Christian Education Director and Anita served as WM Coordinator prior to accepting the responsibility of Music Coordinator three years ago. They have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
